Home based UC Miyahara Architect Office is a private house located in a residential area in Tokyo stood at the site UC small and narrow shape. The house is situated in a quiet residential area in Tokyo, standing in a small and narrow site of irregular shape. Clients feel that the residence is a form of self-exposure to the outside world. To meet the expectations that, UC House is designed to suggest the essence of the houses in the urban context with the chosen finishing material characteristics together with the client. Outside walls are coated with a slender concrete-mix acrylic paint, resulting in a black mottled effect in accordance with the difference in water absorption rate and surface smoothness. Exterior walls and dotted belt pattern is the result of chance and display a certain beauty, in a sense similar to an attractive man, pockmarks and all. East face is given as a reference to anchor a very irregular shape of the site. All partitions, equipment, etc. that position comes from the north-most corner of the east face. More than 20 windows are made of raw brass randomly placed in front of the east, allowing natural light to filter through the screen of gold in a uniform pattern. Irregular patterns of light provided by a face or base of the eastern wall will leave an impression in the minds of its citizens’, helping them with spatial orientation and becomes the trigger for everyday actions, the design with the hope to enhance the space for the population by promoting automatism. For the interior of the house, first floor consists of a bedroom and bathroom independent. The second floor has a main room with a ceiling that partially open to the third floor, partition is made of transparent glass and Japanese paper curtain so as not to divide the atmosphere.
