Ministry of Design has completed a hotel in Singapore called The Club. The Club is the latest Department of Design boutique hotel offers high design in the uber chic Club Street conservation area with 22 rooms is unique clear, with a skybar roof deck and alfresco F & B destination on the ground floor tapas bar. Target in the design and intelligent global nomadic lifestyle, The Club blend of sophisticated design and comfortable as well as local clear cutting edge globally. Colin Seah, Director of Design said, “The search for hotels in Singapore to the ground and the context of the historic conservation area rich in Club Street and Ann Siang Hill, we draw inspiration from two sources.” The first was Singapore’s colonial past, we have made reference to the tongue-in-cheek through the installation of modern art such as sculpture features larger-than-life Raffles with his head in the clouds and also through some key pieces of furniture and artifacts. The second inspiration is taken from the popularity of this region as a center for sending money to the turn of the century in which Chinese immigrants hard to make money and plaintive letters sent back to homeland. We have taken the memories of the Exchange, and create a legacy of the features in this little room of The Club, where modern nomads and wanderers from the path yesterday for a moment. Guests have the option to check on the ground floor lobby or on the roof top panoramic Sky Bar, overlooking Club Street conservation area and business center. F & B designed by Jane Yeo areas including the Lobby Lounge, Tapas Bar, and two private function rooms. All rooms combine traditional design is inspired colonial element together with a neat modern details, the attitude and creature comforts – create the aesthetics of colonial chic. Unique layout with customized artwork in every room makes each of 22 different rooms. MOD is designed artwork and local artists performed their famous Wynlyn Tan at the hotel.
